Considering the pressing need for innovative solutions to improve interior
spaces and generate engaging learning environments, the researcher’s aim is to
implement a design concept that aims to enhancing classroom engagement and
collaboration by equipping instructors with multifunctional multimedia presentation
capabilities. Hence, this study entitled “VERSABOARD: A VERSATILE
CLASSROOM DUAL-SURFACE BOARD WITH MULTIMEDIA DISPLAY”. This
VERSABOARD, a versatile classroom board equipped with a foldable table,
multimedia display, and announcement board offers a unique blend of functionality
and adaptability, aiming to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of teaching
and learning activities, located at Room 303 of College of Architecture and Fine
Arts. The researchers have surveyed thirty (30) students, ten (10) educators, and
ten (10) design professionals. Among the six-category, Functionalities got the
highest weighted mean of 4.67, which described “Excellent” in descriptive rating,
followed by Ergonomics with the weighted mean of 4.57 described as “Excellent”.
Safety with the weighted mean of 4.54 described as “Excellent”. Durability with
the weighted mean of 4.42 described as “Very Good”. Economy with the weighted
mean of 4.44 described as “Very Good”, and lastly, Aesthetics and Appearance
with the weighted mean of 4.41 described as “Very Good”. With the overall mean
of 4.51 which was describe as “EXCELLENT”. The result of the scores shows that
the VERSABOARD is highly acceptable and recommended as a space-saving
furniture, has multifunctional features that are useful to its users and, improve
teaching and learning and communication between students and instructors.
