This study, titled "Alonsinag: A Development of Multimedia Instructional
Visual Display Board," explores the enhancement of classroom learning
experiences in Room 303 of the College of Architecture and Fine Arts (CAFA) at
the Technological University of the Philippines – Manila through the design of an
innovative visual display board. The project seeks to improve the presentation and
interaction of architectural plates and instructional materials by incorporating
multimedia features into the display board's design.
Guided by user needs and spatial functionality, the research involves
observational studies, interviews, and site analysis to identify limitations in current
classroom setups. The proposed design emphasizes flexibility, visual clarity, and
seamless integration of digital tools that support various teaching methods and
creative outputs. By addressing these concerns, the display board aims to foster
a more dynamic and engaging learning environment tailored to the needs of
architecture students and educators.
This thesis underscores the role of design in elevating educational tools,
showcasing how thoughtful integration of multimedia elements can transform
traditional learning spaces into more interactive and effective environments.
