The pressurized underchassis washer is a cleaning system designed to remove dirt, mud,
road salt, and other debris from the underside of vehicles. The prototype utilized several
nozzles that sprayed water with high pressure while moving back and forth on a rail to
cover the underchassis of the vehicle. The underchassis washer was built using PVC pipes,
a C-channel rail, and a DC motor to move forward and backward. The control panel
includes buttons for movement and an emergency stop for safety. This prototype offers a
simple and cost-effective way to clean the underchassis of cars, helping to prevent rust and
extend vehicle lifespan. It runs at a fixed pressure of 1400 PSI, which helped in cleaning
effectively and evenly the underchassis of the four-wheeled vehicle. Based on the
conducted testing, the cleaning time ranges from 54 seconds to almost 3 minutes in three
laps, resulting in a thoroughly cleaned condition of the underchassis of the vehicles. The
prototype is primarily designed for SUVs, MPVs, and utility vehicles, considering their
ground clearance and size. The cleaning process includes soaping and rinsing to ensure the
dirt is thoroughly removed. It is useful for personal car owners and car wash businesses.
The prototype was evaluated by 30 respondents and obtained a general weighted mean of
3.83, indicating a very good descriptive rating
