Dissertation note: College of Architecture and Fine Arts: Bachelor of Graphics Technology.-- Technological university of The Philipppines. 2024. Summary: The researchers observed the lack of seats around the side part of the Atrium at CAFA Amphitheatre wherein this is the crucial facility that needs to take into account, because it will be used by the audience. As a result, they conducted a study entitled “ESCAÑO: Convertible study benches at the CAFA Amphitheatre” to address thelack of bench availability at the aforementioned area. The researchers have created an innovation of typical bench into a study bench, which can be used as a seat for viewing and can be used by students as a workspace to do their academic coursework. Escaño is a convertible bench that allows the backrest to be rotated up and down, turning it into a tabletop. Having the safety of users in mind, the structure of these benches does not have sharp edges in specific areas that the body of users will interact with. To be more specific, on the tabletop, armrest and the backrest itself. In consideration of Anthropometrics, the dimension of a bench is based on the person’s ideal body measurements, for instance the waist and shoulder circumference to obtain the desired seating capacity. The bench’s body is set apart from the tabletop by sufficient space to allow the person seated to move around comfortably. This project entitled Escaño wanted to answer the following questions such as (1)What are the exact attributes does it have that address those specific issues (2) How acceptable is Escaño in terms of its appearance, functionality, and stability (3) What arethe major impacts will this possess on the students and the CAFA Department as a whole.

The researchers observed the lack of seats around the side part of the
Atrium at CAFA Amphitheatre wherein this is the crucial facility that needs to
take into account, because it will be used by the audience. As a result, they
conducted a study entitled “ESCAÑO: Convertible study benches at the CAFA
