This study entitled "Development of a Sealed-Type Compressor Opener" aims to develop an economical, time-efficient, and environment-friendly sealed-type compressor opener that will precisely open a sealed-type compressor, instead of using a manual hack-saw to prevent possible accidents. In addition, it preserves the legibility performance of units and it saves money by prolonging the life span of its equipment by fixing mechanical and electrical components inside the compressor to improve its performance like a brand new. This study involved a five-step project development process such as identifying the problem, planning, and designing, fabrication and construction, testing, and evaluating. The evaluation of the overall Acceptability is conducted at the Technological University of the Philippines, with 20 participants (5 instructors, 15-students). A comparative trial between the traditional hacksaw method and the use of the project developed was done, with the latter yielding less time (3hrs ʹmins) consumed to perform the task. A Likert Scale with ranges from 1.00 ( Not Acceptable) to 5.00 (Highly Acceptable) was used to evaluate the criteria, namely, Functionality, Aesthetics, Workability, Durability, Economy. Safety. Workability (Mean 4.53- Highly Acceptable) and Economy (Mean=4.47=Highly Acceptable) resulted as the top two criteria, with an overall mean of 4.35 or Very Acceptable. Results from testing and evaluation show that the project developed is successful in meeting all its objectives. The researchers can build equipment that is more efficient to use and very useful for the students and professors in TUP Manila for opening compressors. It will not consume much time and energy.
