The book is written for the layperson, the business man and woman, and the student. A unique contribution appearing for the first time in this edition, is a conceptual scheme or diagram entitled "Life Satisfaction Model" (page 39). This diagram is part of a section entitles "The Goals of People in Organizations: Job Satisfaction," which consists of six chapters, four of them entirely new. Numerous new readings have been added which discussed a factor or factors with important bearing on organizational productivity or employee job satisfaction, are readily understandable and represent, in many instances, results of empirical research.
