Nowadays, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management is being taken seriously that more projects regarding the construction of evacuation centers are being developed. In fact, there have been a lot existing establishments only only consider providing the basic needs and are designed with the same architectural features despite being built on different areas of the country. Additionally, most of the designated evacuation centers in Nasugbu, Batangas are situated in hazard-prone areas. The proposed Adaptive Permanent Evacuation Complex will address the needs of the internally displaced persons or evacuees affected by natural and human-induced disasters in Nasugbu, Batangas. It is clearly stated in the Philippine and Regional development plans, Republic Acts 10121 and 1821 and other supporting Senate bills that aside from the basic needs, there are other needs that must be considered. These are healthcare, mental and psychosocial support needs, special needs of PWDs, elderly, children, pregnant women and infants, and most importantly, livelihood. These needs need to be catered to the evacuees so that the construction of an evacuation facility would be more effective because it will be able to sustain the lives of the IDPs as they wait for their homes to be revuilt and their living to be restored. --Author's Abstract.
