This project entitled "Development of Diesel Engine-Driven Tiller with Root Crop Planter" is predominantly concerned with the development of agricultural machinery specifically for tilling plowed land and planting of root crops such as potato, taro and ginger. Land preparation and planting entails a laborious process and with the two mentioned processes in mind, this project aims to provide a machine that will ease the work of the farmers - increasing plantation and decreasing time spent on land preparation and planting. After testing and evaluation, it performed within the objectives set by the proponents. Gathering land preparation speed advantage, planting speed advantage and planting efficiency of 61.96%, 84.68% and 69.02% respectively. The research was conducted at Barangay Niing, San Antonio province of Quezon. The machine was fabricated based on the design that consists of rototiller, cage wheel, crop container, crop feeder, furrower, planer and a water tank.
