The study developed the Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) Cooperative Loaning System which provides a web-based platform for cooperative officers, members, and for those who want to be a part of the organization. The system features include membership registration, loan application, administrative functions such as; approval of registration, generation of a printed report, SMS and email notification. The system was developed using Visual Studio Code as the integrated development environment (IDE), HTML, CSS, Laravel Framework, JavaScript and MySQL for the programming language. PHPMailer is an API used for the email notification, whereas Twilio is an Application Programming Interface (API) used for the SMS notification. Both technologies are used to deliver notifications to members who want to be updated in their registration and ongoing loans. Waterfall methodology was used for the software development process. All required features demonstrated functionality, reliability, and compatibility based on manual testing and two iteration of live deployment test scenarios.
Using the ISO 25010 standard for software quality, 30 respondents evaluated the system as "Very Good." This suggests that the system is an accurate and reliable platform for administering a loan and sending notifications.--Author's Abstract
