The repercussions of open sewage and canals around the city, especially in the slums region here in Manila that includes floods, clogging, foul odor, and irrigation. Possible solutions are provided in the study, Development of Open Canal Waste Stopper and Collector. The purpose of this prototype is to gather trash from open canals, particularly the ones that frequently cause flooding and obstruction. Our prototype is also accessible to agricultural areas. With the addition of these characteristics, the prototype may now be used anywhere using stored energy through solar power. It features a connector at the back of the power inverter for an alternative power source, however it can only accept 220V current. Everyone who has been familiar with our prototype has access to the user's manual. Thirty community members from a selected community are evaluated the open canal trash stopper and collector. The prototype received a descriptive rating of Very Acceptable and an overall mean rating of 4.37. The findings in the evaluation demonstrate that the prototype was flawlessly constructed and fulfilled its purpose as a waste stopper and collector for open canals; it is also usable on any farmlands with clogged grass.
