This project is an innovative solution developed to enhance TUP's key management and security: The Smart Key Locker Security System. The project will use a holistic system that includes hardware and software components to deal with issues such as misplacement of keys, unauthorized access, and ineffective tracking. The system provides an interface for users' authentication by utilizing various technologies, such as the NodeMCU ESP8266, solenoid lock, relay module, buck converter, 12-volt AC adapter, and a mobile application. Security is achieved by implementing various features like sign-up and login procedures and real-time monitoring of key access. Audit trails for administrators and data logging functions further enhance the system by documenting users' activities. The evaluation result shows that the project Key Locker Security System is reliable, with an overall result of 4.74, which is highly acceptable. The project has been used continuously for (24) hours without encountering any adverse results. The said feature provides ease in identifying suspicious activities, such as illegal attempts to enter the locker and problems with the system. Accessibility in cases of an electronic system failure is further ensured through manual override devices such as key cylinders. The Smart Key Locker Security System reduces risks. It increases responsibility by using a combination of digital and physical security mechanisms to ensure that access to the keys is granted only to an authorized person.
