The increasing demand for efficient water management in agriculture and improved hygiene practices highlights the need for innovative solutions that leverage emerging technologies. This study presents the development of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based plant surface watering system integrated with an automatic handwash station. The proposed system addresses two critical issues: optimizing water usage for plant irrigation and promoting hygiene through contactless handwashing. The IoT-based plant watering system employs sensors to monitor soil moisture levels and environmental conditions, ensuring precise water delivery to the plant surface. This reduces water waste while maintaining optimal plant health. The system is equipped with a cloud-based platform that allows users to remotely monitor and control watering schedules via a mobile application. In terms of Functionality, survey results on functionality reveal a high level of satisfaction, with a total mean 4.47% categorized at "VERY ACCEPTABLE”. Majority of the respondents value the system. In Workability, the survey findings on workability indicate a high level of satisfaction, with a total mean of 4.18% classified as "VERY ACCEPTABLE”. Many respondents admire the system. On the other hand, according to the economy survey, most respondents value the system, with a total mean score of 4.10% falling into the " VERY ACCEPTABLE”. category. In Safety, many respondents value the system, as seen by the high degree of satisfaction with safety the results of the survey, with a total mean of 4.09% classified as " VERY ACCEPTABLE”. Lastly in Aesthetic, with a mean score of 4.37%, which falls into the " VERY ACCEPTABLE”. category, most respondents express high levels of pleasure with the system's aesthetics.
