A dressform is a garment tool used as a model for fitting and draping garment fashion designs. This project focused on the development of coir into dressform. Specifically, it aims to develop new material through coconut husks. The innovated coir dressform is a non-adjustable body form that fits small Asian figures. It measures 43 centimeters in the shoulder, 95 centimeters at the bust, waist is 75 centimeters, and hip measurement of 103 centimeters. This project is a fully pinnable dressform made from 6 millimeters thickness
of needle-punched coco matsprayed with natural latex solution as a binder. It used Smooth- on Ecoflex 0035 as the skin of the project. The developed product was evaluated of 25
professional sewers from Thess Tailoring in Calamba, Laguna. The functionality, durability, aesthetics, and economy feature of the project were evaluated using a Likert scale. The overall mean average of the evaluation was 4.96 with a descriptive rating of "Highly Acceptable". The evaluation result proved that the dressform from coir issuitable for small to large scale garment manufacturing future use. Also, the coir-dressform will help in the reduction of agricultural wastes as well as produce another source of raw material that benefits the fashion industry.
