The "Enhancing DIY Frozen Yogurt Businesses with an Integrated Weighing Scale
POS System" project aims to improve inventory management and sales tracking in DIY
frozen yogurt businesses. It integrates a POS system with a weighing scale to track sales,
manage inventory, and calculate weight-based prices. The system includes features like
manual input for stock inventory, receipt printing, order processing payment, and sales
management. It can be accessed remotely through a website application for business
owners to monitor operations.
The system was tested for accuracy, reliability, and performance, showing high
precision in weight measurements and price calculations. An average order processing time
of 23 seconds ensures quick and efficient service. This prototype aligns with the UN
Sustainable Development Goal 9, Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, by applying
emerging technologies and engineering to improve small businesses. By automating
inventory and sales processes, the system fosters innovation, enhances operational
efficiency, and supports infrastructure development in the frozen yogurt industry.
