<br/><br/> This study entitled ‘Utilization of leaf lettuce as food grade packaging paper wrapper, aims<br/>to lessen the rising number of food waste in the country, also to help the local farmers of<br/>their over produced lettuce. The wrapper is made from leaf lettuce (Loose Leaf) and<br/>glycerine with a same weight and thickness of a normal paper. The wrapper is capable of<br/>water resistance properties due to being organic raw material used. Its shelf life can last up<br/>to seven days without getting bad odour. But it almost has the same tear strength of a<br/>normal bond paper that can hold up to thirty grams of weight without tearing apart. The<br/><br/>product took a comparative analysis from the existing food wrapper made from non-<br/>synthetic materials in local and global market and has shown a competitive result in terms<br/>of efficiency and affordability. This signifies that the prototype is serviceable to the faculty<br/>and students of Print Media Technology of the Technological University of the Philippines<br/>Manila.
