<br/><br/> This project study entitled Development of Hydraulic Lifter for Die for which will be utilized by die makers which aims to provide a material handling equipment for transporting a heavy die set. Transferring the die set from the bench worktable or storage area towards into the power press is one of the common processes in changing die set in the power press machine. In manually lifting the die set, the machinist has a tendency to lift and carry the die set into power press if there is no available equipment for lifting and transferring. To solve these problems, the hydraulic lifter for die was conceptualized and fabricated. The hydraulic lifter for die can move up, down, forward, backward, left, and right by the aid of hydraulic cylinder and power units. The processes that were done to build the prototype area rough sketch, modeling using 3D CAD software, fabrication by machining, welding, assembly, and modifications. The prototype was tested at Roll Master Company wherein the prototype can be operated by one person in transferring heavy die set. Test results show that the hydraulic lifter for die can lift and carry 100 kg of a die set and much safer to use than manual operation. The hydraulic lifter for die was evaluated by 30 evaluators that composed of machinists, designer, welder, painter, electrician, quality control assurance, manager, students, and other technical personnel by actual and video presentation and was rated with an overall mean of 4.51 with a descriptive rating of “Outstanding.” This indicates that the hydraulic lifter for die can be used for transferring, lifting and carrying heavy die set or other machine accessories.
