The study, Development of Coolant Filtration and Application System for Conventional Machines, aims to provide a better and continuous flow of coolant onto the workpiece which can help the procedure to produce better workpiece and reduce tool wear to the tool itself. It includes a 254mm length x 254 width x 635mm pan where all the used coolants go, a 15mm diameter x 2000mm length flexible hose so that it can use in a desired place, 69.85mm diameter x254mm length filtering system that can clear the unwanted materials, a 44 liters capacity with a dimension of 1228.72mm diameter x 430mm height pressurized tank for more storage, a 65mm x diameter x 80mm height water transfer pump with the specification of 13 liters per minute with 12V DC with a maximum lift of 5m to push the liquid coolant, a water pressure pump with the size of 271mm length x 146mm width x 132mm height with the specifications of 0.5HP, maximum flow of 36 liters per minute with 220V, a 1⁄2 ø and 3⁄4 ø sized PVC pipes to assemble and connect the parts, a 300mm long nozzle with 3mm inside diameter and 125mm outside diameter, and a 300kg with the size of 907mm length x 608mm width x 850mm height push cart where all the parts were assembled and attached. The unit was subjected to a test and the test results showed that the bad odor was removed, and the sediments are separated successfully after going through the filtration process. The developed prototype was evaluated by 27 evaluators composed of students, machinists, and faculty members of the university and validated by the Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) and has a rating of 4.51, equivalent to descriptive rating of “Excellent”. The results showed that the coolant application system has an effective filtration process which removesthe sediment and odor of the used coolant.
