Nowadays, the current status of the university wherein the security for the belongings are
too weak, and the cases of missing stuff and misplaced belongings are increasing. The
researchers proposed and demonstrated the integrated design of the personal belongings
and library monitoring system through the use of NFC technology, Arduino Nano,
Acceleration Sensor, and the GSM module to form theft prevention. The NFC tag contains
a unique set of numbers as a code that will differentiate to other tags. And the NFC reader
serves as the base station of the system that is connected to the server through the use of
serial port and function also as a reader of data on the tags of ID and belongings plus, the
design of Arduino Nano attached with the NFC tag, is capable, to send an alert signal to
the librarian in real-time. In addition to that, the researchers connect the database of the
system to the database of the registrar of the school to secure more the information and
belongings of every student and faculty workers. The evaluation results showed a
significant value to encourage future researchers to develop and innovate this into a better
prototype. Furthermore, the system can be enhanced by adopting the Bluetooth software
and a more advanced sensor to be more frequent and less time in the pairing of belongings
and to be more useful in protecting other kinds of assets such as motorcycles, cars, etc.
