Las Piņas City has produced competitive athletes who have won gold medals in Palarong Pambansa. Despite this achievement, the city lacks facilities catering to sports such as athletics and swimming. In addition, noncommunicable diseases may also be caused by physical inactivity among the community. The study revealed that athletics and swimming are two sports with high numbers of athletes in the city. Currently, there is no existing city-wide multi-sports facility in Las Piņas City, and some of the existing sports facilities in Las Piņas lack certain features such as proper lighting or adequate toilets, are privately-owned, or not constructed in accordance with the international standards. In conclusion, the lack of facilities affects the community as noncommunicable diseases is one the leading causes of mortality and morbidity, and the athletes as they would need to go outside the city to do their training. It is then recommended to propose a city-wide sports complex that would include an Olympic-sized pool with a diving pool and an oval track and field that all meet international standards. Supporting sports facilities will also be included along with a dormitory where athletes may be accommodated. Lastly, leasable commercial spaces will be added for additional business opportunities within the proposal.
