Shell Craft is one of the products of crafting that are cherished by people across the globe,
involves making of colorful and fascinating decorative objects by using seashells with a
wide range of utilitarian item or objects that helps to translate innovative ideas into creation
of products to a new height. However, Low industries of manufacturing handicrafts
involve many ways of process to create crafts using seashells – crushing and filtering
manually is the basic yet more needed time and manpower for the production of such
handicrafts. The study aims to develop an Adjustable Shell Crusher Machine that will help
to maximize productivity and combine the process – crushing and filtering into machine.
It is run by a single motor and control with a simple motor control push button. The project
was tested in terms of time production test, capacity test and quality test. It also shows the
quality test is more likely no waste output in crushing shells, the quality and efficiency
produced by the machine makes more improved the productivity rather than manual
crushing of shells. The prototype is Evaluated by 30 respondents and obtained an average
mean of 4.2 with a descriptive rating of “Very Good”, this means that the major
components used such as the motor and switches are fit for their purpose to this machine.
However, the study is limited for research purposes only but it can be enlarged to fit the
mass production.
