Lack of printer access is the major problem of many people especially students. Because
of some computer shops that only cater gaming and internet and most of the people
especially students who cannot afford to buy printer sets. The researchers came up to the
idea of developing the Automated Printer Machine to address the need for a readily
available printer unit. The machine utilized touch screen monitor, two continuous ink
supply system printer, coin slot integrated via gizduino microcontroller and central
processing unit. It is capable of printing in documents in .doc, pdf and spreadsheet format,
once the appropriate coin amount is inserted, it would trigger to the printer to print
documents. It was tested for its printing speed which signified that it is very acceptable.
Likewise, it was subjected to evaluation to determine its acceptability among end user. It
gained of overall mean of 4.52 which means highly acceptable. Hence, the prototype was
able to perform its intended purpose and objectives of providing a readily available
printer. Although, it was recommended that simplify the mechanism so as to reduce its
size and also to improve software aspect to remove its watermarks.
