In the Philippines, automotive technicians fix the trouble in every transmission that needs
to be repaired and every part damaged; mechanical shops always do it the conventional
way to do the repairs. However, auto mechanic shops use a conventional method to repair
the transmission, a process that often results in multiple injuries due to excessive effort and
time. We developed a rotatable mechanical transmission lifter as a solution. The fabricated
structure, comprising welded angle bars, channel bars, steel shafting, and steel sheets,
ensures a robust framework. The rotatable mechanical transmission lifter prototype boasts
several capabilities, including the ability to rotate 360 degrees and lift heavy loads with
precision. This innovative design not only enhances operational efficiency but also
minimizes the risk of workplace accidents, making it an invaluable asset for various
industrial applications. This study evaluated the performance of the fabricated prototype in
terms of functionality, aesthetics, durability, workability, economy, and safety compared to
the conventional methods. The respondents were forty college students, five faculty
members, and five automotive experts. The prototype's performance evaluation yielded a
general mean score of 4.51, indicating high acceptance. This indicates that the automotive
field has accepted the prototype. This research study offers implications and suggestions
for improving the tools used in the mechanical industry.
