Conversion Kit Box for Plasma cutting uses an accelerated jet of hot plasma to cut through
electrically conducting materials. This can help in the industry to avoid a conventional
cutter like grinder. With this Conversion kit, the electrical metals may also be cut with a
plasma torch. However, the most common materials to be cut with one are steel, stainless
steel, aluminum, brass, and copper. In fabrication shops, vehicle repair and restoration
businesses, commercial building projects, and salvage and scrapping businesses, plasma
cutting is frequently employed. This Conversion kit with Plasma cutter is used widely,
from large-scale industrial applications to tiny enthusiast shops, this is the high speed and
precision cuts mixed with the inexpensive cost. The goal of the study is the improvement
of quality and safety in plasma cutting activities for the workers and the industry. With the
use of the Conversion kit, a simple inverter arc welding machine can perform plasma
cutting function that is usually available only in an expensive plasma cutting equipment.
The workers will no longer use alternative tools or cutting tools during the cutting
operations because of the availability of the conversion kit. The sample test show that the
capacity of machine is fast and efficient to cut, and it reduces incorrect cut. The said
prototype was evaluated by 20 evaluators composed of Bachelor of Industrial Technology
professors, welding-related professionals, and independent welders with at least 5 years of
experiences of welding using a pre-recorded video of the protype performing its function
and was rated with an overall mean of 4.67 with a descriptive rating of “Highly
Acceptable.” This signifies that the conversion kit is useful to welding, automotive, and
thin sheet metal fabrication.
