Abstract: The study, Email Buddy: AI-Powered Virtual Assistant, is an android application developed to lessen the time in composing and working with email and help people finish their daily tasks. The assistant was designed to assist with composing, sending, receiving, and deleting emails. Email Buddy runs on mobile devices with operating systems Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) SDK or higher. It was created using Express, Google API/ Gmail API, Mailgun, Mongoose, Multer, Passport Google OAth, JWT, and Postman for its backend. React js, Redux js, JavaScript, and UI kitten for its frontend. MongoDB for the database, Alan Studio and Visual Studio Code for the IDE tools, and Alan framework for the AI model and voice scripts. Email Buddy can detect different commands from users via voice-to-text speech recognition to handle their emails and to navigate the app as well. Email Buddy utilizes voice analytics to fill user voice request gaps based on user activity reports per day, week, or month. The developed android application was evaluated in conformance to the ISO/IC 25010 where Email Buddy obtained an overall mean rating of 3.63 with a descriptive equivalence of "Highly Acceptable". This implies that Email Buddy reduces the time and interaction of users when performing email processes.--Author's Abstract.
