The researchers in conducting this study are interested in the occurring events in search
and rescue operations in the Philippines, whereas there are times that rescuers are not able
to find the victims or people at the accident site who need help. These victims were often
hidden somewhere in the sight of the rescuers. With this issue, this project study aims to
ensure the improved quality and effectiveness of search and rescue operations in the
Philippines. A drone with image processing and basic medical kits will improve the
efficiency and effectiveness of emergency medical response. The drone can detect a person
around the area with a range that depends on the processing power of the device that is
connected to the camera with the help of digital mapping and a video feed that allows for
long-range drone flights for video with a minimal delay, which is beneficial for aerial
inspections for searching and rescuing and enabling pre-programmed waypoints for
autonomous flight. A dedicated mobile application is also included in the system, through
which the user can control the drop-offs of emergency aid kits and view live video live
feeds around the area of accidents.
