Footbridges are built over the roads to prevent possible accidents between vehicles and pedestrians. A large number of populations are using the footbridges in their everyday lives. Many footbridges do not have a mechanism for lifting heavy objects over the stairs. People must exert massive force to carry heavy belongings, specifically those who travel regularly. The pedestrians ignore the footbridges and often use the crossroad to transfer their loads to different places. The study, Development of Multi-Purpose Lifting Apparatus, aims to carry heavy objects over the footbridges. Different things can be put inside the load carrier to be lifted by the apparatus. The apparatus can be moved upward and downward with the help of the caster wheel, and the railing clamp is responsible for the attachment of the apparatus to the footbridge railing. It was evaluated to determine its acceptability in terms of functionality, aesthetics, workability, durability, economy, safety, and efficiency. The evaluators were composed of 30 professionals with a background in mechanical works. The evaluation result obtained an overall mean of 4.17, with an equivalent descriptive rating of Very Satisfactory." The result showed that the prototype achieves its function in attaining the lifting purpose.
