Dissertation note: College of Science -- Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Technological University of the Philippines, 2023. Abstract: The web-based marketplace system serves as an online platform that enables the buying and listing of a specific product. It acts as a virtual marketplace where vendors can list their items, allowing buyers to browse and make purchases conveniently. This system provides individuals and businesses with an accessible means to engage in commercial transactions. In the case of a toy collector and vendor marketplace, it caters specifically to those interested in buying, selling, and trading collectible toys. The web-based marketplace system creates a user-friendly and seamless environment where buyers and vendors can connect, conduct transactions, and actively participate within the online marketplace. An Agile Process Model approach was used throughout the process, utilizing Material UI as the primary user-interface library, Google Firebase as the database, and React JS as the development framework. The application's acceptability was assessed based on the ISO 25010 criteria with a mean overall grade of 3.77. The results showed a "Highly Acceptable" level of acceptability. In conclusion, the study was successful in developing a marketplace system website for toy collectors and vendors, which successfully closes the communication gap between toy buyers and vendors and offers a useful platform for business transactions.--Author's Abstract.
