| 520 | _aThe study entitled “Development of Non-contact Voltage Detector Glove” was carried out to develop and fabricate a non-contact voltage detector glove with a safety feature that is specifically designed for electrical engineers, electricians, and linemen. This research aims to help workers prevent electrocutions by protecting themselves from electrical circuits; particularly live wiring, which can cause property damage as well as death or injury. It will help determine if electricity is present. The green LED light indicates that the prototype detects a low amount of voltage, and the red LED light indicates that the prototype detects a high amount of voltage around it. It also has a buckle lock to tighten the glove while wearing it. Based on the results gathered in terms of prototype testing, the strength, safety lock, durability, flexibility, and other components are all working and functioning properly. While the results of the conducted project prototype were evaluated by 19 respondents in terms of functionality with an average mean of 4.89, 4.79 for aesthetics, 4.61 for workability, 4.74 for efficiency, 4.86 for economy, 4.63 for safety, 3.32 for ergonomics and the overall average mean of 4.55 with the descriptive rating of excellent or highly acceptable. It is concluded that the effectiveness and design of this project prototype will be of great benefit in ensuring the safety of the person using the product when they are exposed to voltages wherever they are. Safety must always be a priority. Keywords: non-contact, electrocution, gloves, safety, switching method, circuits. | ||
