The primary objective is to reduce the workforce demand for street cleaners by automating key aspects of the cleaning process, thereby improving operational efficiency. By combining a pedal-powered mechanism associated with a battery connected to the motor powering the main tubular design of the broom, causing it to rotate and be operational, the system offers an eco-friendly alternative to fuel-dependent equipment for municipal waste management. The research employs a design analysis, requirements assessment, and user surveys conducted with 30 street sweepers to evaluate functionality, workability, aesthetics, and safety. Survey results indicate notable improvements in efficiency and user satisfaction, with an impact associated with reducing manual labor. The findings reveal average mean scores of 3.16 for functionality, 3.10 for workability, 3.26 for aesthetics, and 3.15 for safety. This study concludes that the Pedal-Operated Street Sweeper is a practical, performance, worker-friendly urban street maintenance innovation. | ||
