520 _aThe printing industry is important globally, despite digital alternatives. However, printing has environmental and cost implications, such as high ink costs and environmental impact. Green graphic design integrates eco-friendly practices into the design process. This study aims to develop TUP Sinop, an eco-friendly and ink-efficient typeface, to reduce the environmental impact of print media. By exploring eco-friendly printing practices and font selection's impact on ink usage, this research promotes sustainability in the printing industry. The study used Purposive sampling, specifically Expert Sampling and Quantitative research. The objectives of the study include: (1) assessing the participants' socio-demographic profile, (2) evaluating font quality in terms of letter shape, accent placement, alignment, spacing, kerning, consistency, and special symbols, (3) analyzing ink usage in terms of efficiency and cost effectiveness, and (4) assessing the acceptability of the typeface in terms of readability, legibility, functionality, versatility, comprehensiveness, and reliability. The respondents of this study consist of 5 graphics and font experts, 5 frequent printers, and 100 end users. Three sets of self-constructed survey questionnaires were used to collect data, which were tested for reliability and validity. The three sets include questionnaire for graphics and font experts, frequent printers, and end users. The majority of respondents had higher educational attainment (51% college graduates, 9% post-graduates), indicating their knowledge of typeface and ability to provide reliable feedback. Even respondents with lower educational attainment provided valuable feedback. In terms of the nature of work, the majority of respondents were educators (41%), followed by company employees (18%) and self-employed individuals (10%). Respondents represented various professional backgrounds, including business owners, government employees, and students. Experts' evaluation of Sinop showed very high mean score in multiple aspects, including rhythm, letter shape, text spacing, kerning, consistency, special symbols, and accent placement. Overall, the experts highly rated Sinop, indicating its excellence for design projects. Printers evaluated Sinop as very high in ink efficiency and cost-effectiveness. It is an excellent choice for businesses seeking cost-effective and ink-efficient printing solutions. The overall evaluation by printers was positive. End users evaluated Sinop as highly acceptable (4.68), with high ratings in legibility (4.72), readability (4.69), functionality (4.69), versatility (4.67), comprehensiveness (4.66), and reliability (4.62). The overall user satisfaction suggests that the product is of good quality and reliable.
