520 _aThe project study developed the VPN Based Financial System for Census Provident Fund, Inc. (CPFI) to provide a web-based platform for centralized loaning, collecting of monthly contribution, and claiming of benefits of CPFI members with accounting features for the recording of general journal, cash receipt, and cash disbursement and generation of accounting reports such as general ledger, trial balance, balance sheet, and income statement. The web-based platform also features an Android App that caters the loan and claim benefit requests of the CPFI members and for viewing of their monthly contribution, loan balances and payments made in their account ledger. The system also includes features such as email notification and gentle reminder for those requests that are left unattended. It has enhanced security protection and can provide all users with a secure network connection with the use of Express VPN. The system was developed using PHP CodeIgniter framework together with JavaScript, Bootstrap, HTML, and CSS. Evolution Prototyping Model was used for the software development process. All required features demonstrated functionality, reliability and accuracy based on accuracy using confusion matrix incorporated in the test cases executed for two cycles in a testing environment. The system was evaluated “Excellent” by a total of 95 respondents using the ISO 25010 software quality model. This indicates that the system can be an accurate and reliable tool for serving financial services.
