| 520 | _aThis study, volleyball spike trainer for spiking training aimed to help athletes to improve their spiking skills without a volleyball partner. It consists of four major parts, the base, the loading system, the storage system, and the launching mechanism. The base is used as the main support of the whole prototype with an adjustable height of 1,219.20 to 2,743.20 mm. The loading system is the main part of the prototype, it consists of motor, pulley, belt and the circuit breaker runs the volleyball spike trainer. The storage system is used to load the loading system with the use of ball carrier and rotates to the volleyball feeding rail. The launching system is a feeding rail that consists of a stopper before spiking. The prototype was tested for three trials by clipping the balls and identified how many were successful and erroneous shots. The first trial got erroneous results in launching balls and showed a speed of 11.50 seconds while the second and third trials were both successful. The second trial obtained a speed of 12.97 seconds, which is slower than the first trial. In third trial, the launching speed was 12.34 seconds. The time interval between launching was recorded to test the speed of the transmission of the ball from the storage until launching. The time travel interval was calculated within the range of 11-13 seconds. The prototype was evaluated by 20 respondents who are experts in the field of volleyball and mechanical engineering and was rated 4.56, equivalent to an excellent descriptive rating. | ||
