520 _aCharcoal briquettes are common cooking materials that are available nationwide and are also a good source of heat. The machine used for drying varied according to the nature of the producer. The main objective of this study was to develop a machine that could increase the production of small factories from 225 kg in five days to 1,080 kg of dried charcoal briquettes in five days by increasing the temperature of the machine without generating heat in the process that could affect the quality of the charcoal produced. The test results showed that the machine could dry produce 15 to 45 kg of charcoal briquettes in 5 h (excluding the preheating process). The use of a temperature controller increased the functionality and user-friendliness of the machine. The prototype was presented to thirty (30) evaluators to evaluate its performance. All criteria were met by 30 respondents. The machine utilizes a control system, which simplifies the use of the machine by using a selector switch and setting the heat and timer. The functionality receives the highest mean of 4.75, while the bulkiness of the machine and the size of the charcoal briquette’s drying machine are fine, as the end-user likes the salability of the machine is also affected, with a mean of 4.43 and 4.61 respectively. In total, the machine received a total mean of 4.62, which translates to excellent descriptive ratings. Keywords: charcoal briquettes, drying machine, production increase, temperature control, prototype development.
