520 _aAs our society develops to be more sustainable and aware of the negative effects linked to the usage of typical industrial production practices, environmentally friendly or green building materials are being employed more frequently. This encourages an increasing trend of recycling waste products and using them to make particle boards. All these characteristics are largely dependent on the type of raw material used, and they can be modified to raise the caliber of the final product as well as broaden its applications. The current study examines the many raw materials used to produce particle board and their varied qualities to enhance their quality and broad range of uses. The opportunities to lessen the heightened recycling old wood-based panels at the conclusion of the process is included in the consumption of raw their lifespan, the usage of substitute raw materials, and the utilization of leftover lignocellulosic materials. Additionally, the researchers created a different environmentally safe building construction material from Powdered Cacao Pod Shell in Engineered Board and Isocyanate as binder. The use of three mix design composed with the ratio of 97:3, 95:5, and 93:7 raw material - binder with density of 0.8 kg/cm^3. For them to be used effectively for residential and industrial uses, the Engineered board were subjected to determine the properties of the board, such as modulus of rupture and internal bond, based on the General-Purpose Regular classification of particleboard for dry condition of PNS ISO 16893:2017 Wood-Based Particleboards Standards.
