520 _aTraditional approaches to teaching Swedish massage often fail to effectively engage students or foster the development of practical skills. This design-based research study aimed to create and assess an Interactive Booklet to enhance student engagement and competency in massage therapy. Utilizing a purposive sampling approach across four phases, data were collected through semi-structured interviews and focus group discussions. The study involved the development of an interactive booklet that combined theoretical concepts with interactive activities. The iterative process led to the identification of design principles that can guide the future development of instructional materials. Pilot testing showed notable improvements in student engagement and comprehension of fundamental massage techniques. The findings suggest that integrating such interactive e- booklets into technical education curricula could improve learning outcomes, with further research recommended to assess their long-term impact on student performance and mastery of the techniques.
