| 520 | _aThe development of a solar-powered charging workstation is aimed at resolving the problems of limited charging outlets and low battery levels faced by students and faculty in Technological University of the Philippines-Manila (TUP- Manila). Mobile devices are essential in the digital age for daily use, education, and safety, but battery drain can affect academic performance, communication, and safety. The solar-powered workstation design will benefit students and faculty by providing a source of renewable energy, different types of charging outlets, ergonomic tables and benches, and mobility. This study is aimed at increasing productivity and efficiency by utilizing technology for educational purposes and ensuring the safety of users. The researchers have surveyed 52 respondents with relevance to the project. The respondents were categorized into four whereas, (44) students, (1) faculties, (2) working staff, and (5) individuals. The results show that the respondents have a positive perception of the product or project. Workability got the highest weighted mean of 4.42 (High), followed by functionality with a mean score of 4.38 (High). Then, the aesthetic quality got a rating of 4.35 (High). Meanwhile, the safety got a weighted mean of 4.32, also defined as "High". Durability marked a weighted mean of 4.31, interpreted as "High". Ergonomics gained the lowest mean average of 4.30, also interpreted as "High." It only shows that the Design Development of Solar-Powered Charging Workstation in TUP Manila is highly acceptable as a charging workstation with the OVERALL MEAN of 4.34, which was defined as "HIGH". | ||
