520 _aThe energy source has been one of the most sought resources on Earth. Over the years, energy has been a scarce resource due to the increasing demand for it with minimum supply. Subsequently, renewable energy has emerged as a viable solution to the problem. This study aims to provide light in places that electricity doesn't reach with renewable energy, specifically wind energy. The development of this prototype helped the place where it was installed in terms of efficiency and illumination. Installed in a place with wind speeds ranging from 7mph and above, the prototype was able to run and self-sustain. The prototype used a 3D printed propeller that is connected to a drive chain mechanism. Once the propeller rotates, the wind energy that has been collected is then converted into mechanical energy by the drive chain mechanism. The mechanical energy is converted into electrical energy by the DC generator. The prototype also has a rechargeable battery to accumulate the collected electric energy. It also uses an Arduino uno for the program that controls the photoconductive sensor and PIR sensor. The material used for the prototype are stainless-steel bar, stainless-steel sheet, and a silicone sealant. The body of the prototype is made of a galvanized iron pipe with a steel plate at its footing. The result of the test conducted in effectiveness and efficiency of the propeller connected to the generator were tested and concluded that it can power a LED lamp and charge a rechargeable battery.
