The main objective of the project focused on having a data communication infrastructure
that can provide reliable and fast communication between faculties and students. This was
achieved by configuration of server, routers, switches, and UTP cables for connections of
devices to establish an intranet network. Utilizing nextcloud for centralized data sharing
enables efficient and secure file sharing, collaboration, and resource management within
the network. Test results showed that the system successfully connects users, providing
reliable communication and data exchange. Also, test results had shown the signal strength
results to different distance. The system performance was evaluated by thirty-nine (39)
evaluators and obtained a mean score of 4.61 for hardware evaluation, which means highly
acceptable, and a mean score of 3.74 with a descriptive rating of very good. This concludes
that the data communication infrastructure using intranet emerges as an accessible system
to enhance the communication problems in the 4th floor of the Electronics Department.
