The SMART system is designed to enhance library resource management at Technological<br/>University of the Philippines Manila by automating seat availability detection and noise level<br/>monitoring. By integrating IoT technology, computer vision and AI, the system optimizes space<br/>utilization and improves the overall library experience. Using OpenCV, it processes real-time camera<br/>feeds to detect occupied and vacant seats with high accuracy, reducing reliance on manual inspections.<br/>A wireless microphone audio module captures ambient noise levels, ensuring a conducive study<br/>environment. The collected data is displayed on a user-friendly mobile application and an interactive<br/>kiosk, providing real-time seat and noise level updates for students and library administrators.<br/>The study employs IoT-enabled sensors, computer vision models, and cloud-based data processing<br/>to ensure a seamless and responsive system. By implementing this smart library solution, the study<br/>aims to enhance efficiency, improve student convenience, and create a more organized academic<br/>environment, contributing to the advancement of IoT-based library systems. |
