Thisstudywasconductedtoassessthespecificchallengesthathinder<br/>thestudentsofBSIE-IAfrom accessingtheBasicCarpentryinIndustrialArts<br/>Laboratoryandhowthemultifunctionaltable,CraftED,canbeutilizedtoenhance<br/>theirinterestand involvementin the basics ofcarpentry.The studywas<br/>performedattheTechnologicalUniversityofthePhilippines,Manila,duringthe<br/>schoolyear2024-2025toimprovestudents’learningexperiencesbyfinding<br/>solutionstothesechallengesthroughutilizinganinnovativelearningtool.<br/>Thestudyemployedthematicanalysistointerpretqualitativedata,while<br/>descriptivestatistics,includingmeanandstandarddeviation,wereusedto<br/>quantifystudents'effortandpersistencelevelswithCraftED.A totalof40<br/>respondentsparticipated,comprising31femalestudents(77.5%)and9male<br/>students(22.5%).<br/>FindingsrevealedthattheuseofCraftEDsignificantlyincreasedtheeffort<br/>and persistence of IndustrialArts students during woodworking tasks.<br/>Participantsreportedthatthetable’sspecializeddesignanddurable,high-quality<br/>materialsimprovedactivitiessuchascuttingandmeasuring,enhancingboth<br/>efficiency and skilldevelopment.Additionally,CraftED’s safety features<br/>contributedtoasecureworkingenvironment,makingitaneffectiveandreliable<br/>toolforpromotingstudentinterestandactiveengagementinIndustrialArts<br/>education. |
