This project study entitled Development of Foldable Line Table for Screen Printing aimed
to provide a convenient and budget-friendly line table that is suitable for small or medium
scale screen printing businesses. This project maximizes and minimizes the limited space
in a production area because of its ability to be folded. The overall dimension of the
foldable line table is 1,774 mm x 895 mm x 770.8 mm and is made up of black iron steel
for sturdiness. The equipment has two sets of foldable line table, and each set of line table
can be linked together using the metal connector. It consists of eight stations which
connected to its base, and each station has flatbeds or plate. In addition to that, the project
also has caster wheels to be able to move and transport to other places. The equipment can
accommodate eight t-shirts per operation. Technical experts evaluated the machine in
screen printing, faculty members and students of Graphic Arts and Printing Technology
(GAPT) to determine the level of acceptability based on various criteria such as
functionality, aesthetics, workability, durability, economy, safety and saleability. The
results of the evaluation show an overall mean rating of 4.43 which has a descriptive
classification of “Very Acceptable.” The results proved that the foldable line table applies
to all professional or non-professional screen printer operators.
