Summary: This study “CAFA – CENTRO: THE DEVELOPMENT OF STAGE FOR TUP CAFA ATRIUM” aims to improve the stage's aesthetics by using a carefully designed background that compliments the overall ambiance of the TUP CAFA Atrium. The backdrop's goal is to contribute to the artistic attractiveness of the stage while also addressing practical factors for effective utilization during various events or performances. This project attempts to develop a background that not only acts as a visual focal point but also improves the entire experience for both performers and audience members through a thorough design approach. The development of this stage backdrop involves considerations such as artistic elements, functionality, and integration with the existing space, with the ultimate goal of transforming the TUP CAFA Atrium into a more dynamic and aesthetically pleasing performance venue. This research was done by survey on January 15, 2023 with fifty respondents who are composed of ten professionals, ten CAFA Professors and thirty CAFA Students. The respondents gave 4.59 for functionality, 4.93 for workability, 4.35 for durability, 4.5 for appearance and the safety criteria have an average rating of 4.48, With the Overall Mean of 4.49, the design structure is defined as “Very Good”. The panel of experts recommend including charging outlets on the shelves so that the users will be able to utilize the space more, installing of retractable stairs at the left and right wing of the stage for better accessibility and use oil or grease in the door’s mechanism for it to slide more smoothly.
