Most of the Filipino workforce is traversing through the highways of are traveling through
public utility vehicles such as bus, jeepney, and taxi. Traveling by this means of
transportation will require a lot of time especially if most of the people are traversing
through EDSA to get by metro. The main causes of this-time eating travel are road
accidents, traffic violations, and undisciplined drivers that are getting in the way and cause
more traffic congestion along the road. Examples of these violations are the overstaying of
a great number of buses per bus stop and allow them to load and unload more passengers
without the reminder of time allotment and can easily get away with traffic enforcers. This
kind of problem will consume a lot of time for the commuters just by traveling through
EDSA alone. The goal of the study is to develop a system that will create a disciplined and
ordered bus stops that can decrease the amount of time the public utility vehicles stays on a
specific stop. The system was achieved using the Radio Frequency Identification System
(RFID) modules for detecting and processing registered tags and automatically generates
violation reports that are sent to the database through the network. Thus, minimizing the
time that is consumed in a single bus stop.
