This study aimed to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of a mobile learning application, called Learn It,' specifically designed for nursery students aged 3-5 years old.
The objective was to provide an engaging and interactive tool to establish foundational knowledge in young children. The development process involved the creation of a cloud-based mobile application that encompassed a comprehensive educational platform. This platform incorporated interactive lessons, animated videos, and voice recognition technology to enhance the learning experience. The content was carefully organized into 42 levels, divided into 4 quarters, aligning with the children's school curriculum. The researchers used RAD model. Usability tests states how easily children could navigate the application, select levels, and answer multiple-choice questions using voice input.
Compatibility tests ensured that the application functioned seamlessly across various mobile devices. Security measures were implemented to protect user data and ensure privacy. Performance testing assessed the application's responsiveness and efficiency.
Evaluation results indicated that the system was rated as 'Highly Acceptable' based on a comprehensive assessment, achieving a grand weighted mean of 3.62. These findings affirm the positive reception of the application by its intended users. In conclusion, the 'Learn It' application serves as a valuable resource to reinforce school lessons, stimulate cognitive development, and provide an engaging and accessible learning environment for nursery children. The successful implementation of user-centered design principles and rigorous testing methods ensures the application's efficacy and suitability for its target audience.'--Author's Abstract.
