Monitoring student performance is an essential process in order to ensure that the student
is learning effectively. However, most parents have hard time monitoring their children
performance due to various root causes such as not having enough time, lack of tools and
resources. There are several methods used to monitor student performance which are
equipped with GPS, Artificial intelligence, and biometrics. However, those systems are
limited with communication features, biometric methods, and inaccessibility. This project
study aims to design, develop, test, and evaluate a student record monitoring system using
QR code, microcontrollers, SMS module, web application and implemented using
waterfall methodology. Test result show that there is no significant difference on the
timeliness of the 5 modules (F(4,195)=42.617; P=<.001). Meanwhile there is also no
significant difference in the timeliness of the two sim card networks tested (F(3,16)=1.171;
P=.352). The testing results show that the web system demonstrates great responsiveness
as all pages load reliably. Additionally, both Globe and Smart networks have the same
speed when it comes to receiving text messages. Furthermore, the respondents evaluated
the system compound of 12 teachers in different schools. This project study is aligned with
the UN-SDG on quality education.
