Summary: The study, Development of Anti-Theft Detection Device is an innovation of a manual cut off switch which aims to provide help to the owner of cars without electronic control unit (ECU). The innovation is made so that vehicles without ECU can go into with the modern technology. There are sensory devices located on the door and inside the driver‟s seat, and a hidden camera is located inside the car that if anyone who opens the door and sit on the driver‟s seat, the device alerts the owner by sending SMS messages to the owner‟s mobile phone. Upon opening of the door of the car, the device will automatically captures a photo of the interior of the vehicle, specifically on the driver‟s seat, and send it to the mobile phone of the owner so that he will know who is inside the car. If the person inside the car is an intruder, the owner will send SMS message to cut off the connection to the starter motor and fuel feed so that the intruder cannot start the engine anymore. The detection device and the camera are hidden somewhere inside the vehicle that the intruder will be completely unaware of the device. The project was evaluated by 10 people, of different profession. The project obtained a mean rating of 4.08, “Very Acceptable” in the interpretation table. Based on the result, suggestions, and recommendations of the evaluators, the researchers concluded that the device is very useful and beneficial to the car owners.
