Summary: Students get a deeper comprehension of the course material while using the Mechatronics Training Board to demonstrate concepts and evaluate student performance in the lab. The Mechatronics Training Board helps students grasp the course content better and use it to explain concepts and assess students’ learning. This makes it easier for the user to handle the challenging wiring simulation and improve their critical thinking. The material used for the construction of the training device which is the prototype’s side covering is 822 x 604mm plywood. The design of the prototype is portable and easily transportable. It is applied in performing the experiment as prescribed and is used to house motor control, PLC, and electro-pneumatic components. The prototype is developed with locally available resources. The potential users then tested the feasibility and usability of the prototype and conducted an evaluation of the prototype. Fifty people were examined including four (4) academic members, one (1) professional, twenty-nine (29) electrical students, and fifteen (15) electronics students from the Technological University of the Philippines. The result of the Technological University of the Philippines, College of Industrial Technology Evaluation Instrument is 4.59 and the descriptive mean is “Highly Acceptable”. The usability and effectiveness of the prototype have made it a very useful tool in improving students’ learning achievements and encouraging them to be more practical in their mechatronics education. Furthermore, mechatronics research and innovation have been improved by the prototype's design and development, and there is a good likelihood that educational institutions will adopt it broadly. Overall, the Mechatronics Training Board prototype has demonstrated potential for furthering mechatronics education and research.
